UNIQUE new fashion brand Curious People has its home in a restored vintage caravan and it is heading your way.
This rare little gem of a boutique is filled with gorgeous original garments, exotic accessories, vintage pieces and curiousities and is now out on the road heading for festivals and events across the UK.
The quirky souk-styled shop on wheels is the brainchild of Oxfordshire-based designers Lara Skowronska and Alice Riley who have come together with a shared vision of breaking away from mainstream fashion retailing.
“Our vintage Eccles caravan is right at the heart of our business,” says Alice.
“When we found it in a field near our homes, it was falling apart and the farmer just wanted rid of it so we towed it out and spent weeks lovingly restoring and decorating it,” she reveals.
The magical transformation from dilapidated shell to sumptuous Moroccan-styled shop space included adding a rich mix of intricately carved wooden shop-fittings, vibrant colours, vintage fabrics, cushions and lanterns.
Lara says: “We’ve created a special space where festival-goers can kick off their boots and delve into something special.
“Our collections are a mix of past and present trends inspired by festival vibes and the great outdoors. Taking our van out and about to our customers, helping them find affordable, original fashion and making both buying and selling fun - that was our dream and now we’re living it.”
