Greswolde Construction on fast track for speedy successful Rubery build
GRESWOLDE ON FAST TRACK TO SPEEDY BUILDING SUCCESS
A fast-track £3 million Birmingham development looks set to be built in record time by Solihull-based Greswolde Construction.
Only the day after planning permission was obtained for a manufacturing facility at Hollymoor Point in Rubery, Greswolde was on site and hard at work.
Challenging construction deadlines meant around four months had to be shaved off the usual timetable for a design and build project.
Greswolde has risen to the challenge for developers Hortons’ Estate Developments and Trebor Developments LLP:
“This was a tall order but we are very pleased Greswolde has been able to pull out all the stops and help to make this happen,” says Greswolde Director Chris Harrison.
“We are delighted to be on site assisting in bringing this important project to fruition for our long-standing client Hortons, who we have worked with successfully in the past on projects with tight deadlines,” he adds.
Development partners Trebor Developments LLP, praised Greswold’s speedy response to the deadline set by the end users of the site, Kings Norton based manufacturers Aquapak Polymers.
Trebor’s Managing Partner Bob Tattrie says: “The package was targeted to achieve the requirements of Aquapak Polymers, which meant overlapping design, planning and procurement elements, cutting some four months off the usual lead in time.
“Hortons already has an existing working relationship with Greswolde through work being carried out on The Grand Hotel in Central Birmingham, and we are very pleased Greswolde was able to move so quickly in line with our plans and those of the end user.”
The 55,000 square foot facility which is part of Aquapak Polymer’s ongoing expansion plans, is on target for a December handover.
